'Outlander' Season 1 News, Spoilers: Actor Sam Heughan Talks Second Half First Season
Starz original series, Outlander, has continued its first season which constantly tests the relationship between Claire, played by actress Caitriona Balfe, and Jamie, played by Sam Heughan.
Issues such as Black Jack Randall's schemes, clan politics and an upcoming witch trial are making life quite hard for the newly married pair.
In an interview, Sam Heughan discussed the filming of the show in Scotland, the support of the fans and the remaining season one episodes.
Heughan states that since the show is being filmed in Scotland and has not yet been released in the United Kingdom, he is quite anonymous there.
However, in America and other regions in which the show has aired, fans are very friendly and they also show a lot of support via Twitter and Facebook.
He also states that he enjoys when the airing of a new episode is coming up, as he cannot wait to see the reaction from the fans.
Heughan also talks about the drama in the second half of the season. One of his favorite scenes is the one in which he and Balfe's characters are in a big argument. Other favorites include the spanking and the trial.
He also enjoys the fact that in the second half of the season, fans get to learn more about Jamie and his relationship with his family, through flashbacks as well as the rivalry between Jamie and Jack Black.
In his interview, Heughan also discusses the rumors of the change in tone in the latter half of the season.
He highlights the fact that this is not just a show about a romantic love affair, but the issues surrounding it and constantly challenging it.
