'Outlander' 2015 Comic-Con Panel Rumors: Special Video Treat & Season 2 Trailer Release Possible
'Outlander' fans who will be attending the British-American television drama series panel at the upcoming San Diego Comic-Con 2015 can expect a few surprises. While it is not certain whether the producers will release a complete trailer of the series' upcoming season, a spoiler posted by Kristin Dos Santos on E!Online says that the fans are likely to get a special video treat at the convention.
According to IB Times, Santos wrote, "Fingers crossed, you will have at least one video treat--but I can't spill yet exactly of what nature! The panel should be a blast, and have a few surprises. So nab your seat early!"
Meanwhile, it is likely that showrunner Ronald D Moore, series author Diana Gabaldon, and lead actors Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe will be attending the panel. They are expected to provide fans with information regarding how they have filmed some of the most shocking scenes featured in the first season of the show.
In 'Outlander' Season 2, fans will see Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) trying to make a life for themselves in Paris.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly showrunner Moore opened up about Season 2, saying that pretty much starts with the couple arriving in France.
Moore further said, "Well, how the opening episode literally opens I won't get into, obviously, because that's just how we tell the story, but the story of Jamie and Claire in the 18th century pretty much starts with their arrival in France. The big story point picks up from where we left Season 1, which is Claire and Jamie deciding to attempt to change history by stopping the Jacobite rebellion and changing history so as to prevent the slaughter on Culloden Moor and the destruction of the Highland culture after it. That's the major plot going into the season."
The showrunner said that Jamie's rape at the hands of Black Jack will color his character, and the consequences of the assault are going to have an effect of Jamie's relationship with Claire.
