87th Academy Award Nominations: Actors and Actresses Nominated for Oscars 2015

With the Golden Globes over and out, all one can think about is the Oscar nominations. The 87th Annual Academy Awards 2015 will be held Feb. 22, which will be hosted by 'How I Met Your Mother' star, Neil Patrick Harris.

Nominees were unveiled Thursday morning in all 24 categories as part of a two-part live news conference from the Academy's Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California.

The nominations were announced at the ceremony by directors J.J. Abrams and Alfonso Cuaron, actor Chris Pine and Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs.

Stepping back, predictions for the various categories were creating spurs among the fans. The Golden Globes winners sure seemed likely to make it to the list of the nominations. Films like ''Boyhood,' ;The Imitation Game' and "Birdman,' which have bagged major awards at the BAFTAs and Golden Globes looked likely to top the lists.

While actors like Benedict Cumberbatch, Steve Carell, Eddie Redmayne and Jake Gyllenhaal, for their movies 'The Imitation Game,' 'Foxcatcher,' 'The Theory of Everything' and 'Nightcrawler' seemed likely to be nominated as well.

Among the categories of Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor and Actress, the names that were likely to be nominated were Julianne Moore, Felicity Jones, Jennifer Aniston, Ethan Hawke, Robert Duvall, Emma Stone, Kiera Knightley and Naomi Watts.

In other news, actress and 'Cake' star, Jennifer Aniston seem only too anxious about the nominations and has vowed not to watch the nominations. "I'll be in bed," she said, adding, "I'll be in bed with my beloved and my dogs dreaming wild little dreams," according to Entertainment Online.
