With the Academy Awards 2016 upcoming, it has been reported that the Golden Globes will not affect the Oscar Race. Also, three gentlemen contend for best music in the upcoming event.

Analysts suggested that the Hollywood Foreign Press Association votes for the Golden Globes has no bearing on the Academy Awards when it comes to coinciding of actual voting, according to Entertainment Weekly.

The same report indicated that with the members of the small person team not being part of the Academy group, the Golden Globe winners' speeches also do not have any direct implication to the voting process of the Academy members.

It is assumed that perception is predominant in Hollywood and in line with this, the results of the Global nominations allows the race to improve and the Academy voters to scrutinizes the films and the actors' performances. Thus, some theorize that Golden Globes nominations baffle the Oscar race.

In terms of musical scores, John Williams, Ennio Morricone, and James Horner, spearhead the list of contenders for the best music, Variety reported.

Williams currently has 49 Oscar music nominations, which could become 50 with his musical score for J.J. Abrams' upcoming space sci-fi film "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens."

Morricone scored Quentin Tarantino's Western-themed film "The Hateful Eight," which starred "Magic Mike XXL" actor Channing Tatum. With 400-plus features, the Italian composer is also known for scoring Tarantino's adventure war film "Inglorious Basterds" and Western film "Django Unchained," along with Sergio Leone's crime drama "Once Upon a Time in America," among others.

Horner has three known scores in the Oscar race. These include Patricia Riggen's historical drama "The 33," Antoine Fuqua's sports drama "Southpaw," and Jean-Jacques Annaud's adventure film "Wolf Totem," among others.

The Oscar Race is set to land in 2016.
