'Orphan Black' Season 3 Update: More Clones to Feature in New Installment Says Actor Ari Millen

In 'Orphan Black' Season 3, fans will see Ari Millen returning to the show in the lead role of male clones - Scarface Rudy, who is a soldier clone, as well as Mark, the Prolethean.

IB Times reports that in the previous season of the science fiction television series on BBC saw the introduction of male clones in the clone mix and they also learned about two clone projects - Project LEDA and Project CASTOR. While Dyad is in charge of the female clones, the male clones are under the governance of the military.

According to Millen, Mark married Gracie in the 'Orphan Black' Season 2 finale this clone desires to lead a simple life. Recently, Millen told TV Guide, "He (Mark) wants out of Castor, he just wants a family, everything he doesn't have. Moving forward we're going to see that the things he wants is not going to come easily."

TV Guide further reports that the male clones were "raised self-aware and in the military," denoting that they actually don't have any moment in their lives where they can find out to their dismay that they are nothing but clones. The website quotes Millen saying that male clones are a "very close-knit unit."

The synopsis of 'Orphan Black' Season 3 discloses that viewers will see the clone sisterhood entering an "unexpected territory" in the upcoming episodes and they will realize that they're not alone. In fact, in Season 2 itself the female clones got some idea regarding their enemies and allies. However, according to the synopsis, in Season 3, the female clones will again be without a clue, because they will be "more vulnerable than ever before."

The synopsis suggests that 'Orphan Black' Season 3 will look at the various issues related to male clones - what they really are they and what led the military to create them. In addition, there are likely to be additional soldier clones, and, according to the synopsis, they will be "highly trained, identical male-soldiers."

'Orphan Black' Season 3 will premiere on April 18 on BBC America and it is expected that the filming will be complete by March, 2015.
