Stanford (5-3) are looking to extend their winning streak to two games when they hunt their fellow Pac-12 opponents the Ducks on Saturday.
The Cardinal crushed the Oregon State Beavers by a final score of 38-14, after Stanford QB Kevin Hogan went 18-28 for 277 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions this past Saturday.
Stanford head coach David Shaw hopes keep Ducks QB Marcus Mariota win-less against the Cardinal squad when the rivals square off in the "Beaver State."
"At times, we've been able to contain him, we've been able to harass him," said Shaw to reporters.
"But in every game, there's a streak where you can't do anything about it. He gets out of the pocket and takes off. He makes a couple of great throws. He moves the team down the field in three plays and scores a touchdown."
Meanwhile, the Ducks (7-1) are looking to looking to stretch their winning streak to four games after their most recent 59-41 victory versus their PAC-12 divisional foes the California Golden Bears on October 24.
Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich admits his team will have a challenging time trying to shut down the Cardinal on Saturday despite the fact the Ducks are the favorites in the upcoming matchup.
"Kevin (Hogan)'s played probably two of the best games of his career against us the last two years," said Helfrich to reporters.
"He's a really competitive guy, he's been extremely accurate, kind of along the lines of (UCLA quarterback Brett) Hundley in terms of how he runs, he's hard to bring down. He's played really well."
