The premiere of "Orange is the New Black" season 4 has been announced by Netflix.

"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 is about to kick off on the small screen, yet updates about the much-anticipated series' premiere continue to flow on the Internet. Actress Kate Mulgrew dropped some hints about what is bound to happen and what fans should expect.

According to the actress, viewers should "buckle their seatbelts." "There's a lot of laughs, but you must buckle your seatbelts because she takes some very interesting turns," said Mulgrew, who plays Red, as quoted by iDigitalTimes.

"It gets darker. It gets very dark.  I think you will be very surprised, I think you will be wholeheartedly engaged, you will be riveted."

The OITNB actress also revealed that showrunner Jenji Kohan will thoroughly examine the prison system.

Furthermore, Kohan apparently said that they will keep it as a surprise to the viewers, "We start with political agendas, the corporatization of the prison, the stratification of people into their little mosaic groups," he said during an interview at the 2016 Winter TCA Press Tour, Express UK reports.

"We want it to be a surprise, but [you can expect] all the fun stuff like race and hate and some things from current events that we wanted to filter through our lens," he added.

Additionally, actress Selenis Leyva also hinted that Season 4 might be the "most talked about season."

"There's a lot more conflict, there's division amongst the groups more than ever. This is the season of the rise of the Latinas and there's a lot of conflict within that."

"Orange is the New Black" Season 4 resumes again on Netflix on June 17.
