'Orange is the New Black' Season 3 Premiere Date Rumors: June 2015 Netflix Launch? Focus on Vause & Chapman's Relationship?
Although Netflix has yet to announce the official premiere date of 'Orange is the New Black' Season 3, there are a lot of rumors afloat about the new additions to the cast and changes to the storyline.
The latest rumor in regards to OITNB Season 3, claims that fans of the show will be able to catch the season premiere in June of next year.
Additionally, latest reports say that viewers might see Alex Vause (Laura Prepon) joining her girlfriend Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling) in jail in the new season of the show. Christian Today reports that it is also likely that Vause will return to the Litchfield penitentiary following a call from Chapman.
Some speculate that 'Orange is the New Black' Season 3 will revolve around the relationship between Vause and Chapman for the most part.
In Season 2 of the show, fans saw Daya (Dascha Polanco) getting pregnant with George "Pornstache" Mendez's (Pablo Schreiber) baby and now, some viewers speculate that after a time jump between the installments, Daya will appear with a baby bump.
Unfortunately, Schreiber will not be returning to feature in Season 3 as he is currently tied up and committed to other television based projects. On a side note the actor won the We Love to Hate You Award at the 2014 Young Hollywood Awards for his role as Pornstache in OITNB.
On a positive note, fans can expect to see a number of new prisoners and side characters as the series returns for Season 3. First on the list of confirmed additions to the cast is Mary Steenburgen, who has been cast for the role of Pornstache's mother.
At first the actress kept eager OITNB fans in suspense as she posted an ambiguous message over Twitter, "Very excited to go to my first wardrobe fitting of OITNB! Will I be in orange or black?"
Setting that aside, other reports claim that the show's creators are likely to explore Polly and Larry's relationship at deeper levels.
Meanwhile, speaking with Harper Bazaar, Uzo Aduba (who plays "Crazy Eyes" on OITNB) recently praised the series, saying that she had never seen anything like Jenji Kohan's drama.
She told the publication, "I'd never seen anything like it. It took me a long time to arrive at that - you know, from my gap teeth to my name. I'm realizing, you don't need to change anything about yourself. This is who you are, and it's okay. That's daring."
