'Orange Is the New Black' of Netflix has once again been voted as one of the top 10 TV shows of 2014; this recognition has come for the second consecutive year and that decision is made by some of the biggest TV critics in America.

At the end of the year, it is customary for TV critics to select the top ten best shows that aired, or were broadcast in one way or another. This year 'Orange Is the New Black' happens to lay claim to the NO. 8 spot on the top ten list.

Of course, being considered in the eighth spot by the HitFlix television critics' poll is a major plus, but it was not as good as last year when it was in second place.

In 2014, it was the second season of the show and the critics, in general, believed that OITNB had succeeded in sustaining the suspense as well as maintaining the high quality of Season 1.

Incidentally, Season 2 had featured new flashbacks for various prisoners plus the Vee (Lorraine Toussaint) vs. Red (Kate Mulgrew) storyline. Also in the show was the hunger strike for better living conditions.

Fingers are now crossed to see how 'Orange Is the New Black' fares in the new season and whether it can live up to the expectations of the audience. Season 3 will probably be released in mid-2015 on Netflix, according to rumors and reports.
