After what may have felt like forever to fans of the popular Netflix original series, Orange is the New Black is returning to Netflix for a third season on June 12^th.

At this point, no one has any idea what is in store for Piper, played by Taylor Schilling, and Alex, played by Laura Prepon, as well as the rest of the women incarcerated at Litchfield Penitentiary, we do know that the actresses who play a leading lady and her on and off love interest have graced the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.

The two were the subjects of several breath taking photographs, and along with their fellow cast members, they talk about why they love Orange is the New Black so much.

Laverne Cox, the transgendered actress, who was working in a restaurant right up until her casting for Orange is the New Black, stated that the show is a revolution of sorts.

"We've revolutionized television," stated Cox. "The unprecedented diversity that we just saw in pilot season I think would not be possible if it weren't for us."

Schilling, who admits that she did not imagine the impact that the show would have had, says that she did know it was something amazing.

"There was the moment though, where we were shooting the first season that everybody gelled so much in the cast, it was so extraordinary," said Schilling. "There was really a sense of ensemble that I thought, 'this feels very special and the writing felt very special.'"

Prepon agreed that they all joined because they knew it was something special.
