Chinese tech manufacturer OnePlus will be launching its first-ever portable powerbank charger with a 10,000mAh battery unit for smartphones on Tuesday, March 17. This might not come as a surprise, as the company has been teasing the product for a while now. According to reports, the upcoming charger possesses the ability to charge the OnePlus One smartphone three times on a single charge.

Tech Radar reports that the wait for the powerbank charger has been long, but worth it. The device will be sold from March 17 onwards and it is priced at little lower than the $15 mark. As a result, the OnePlus charger will give Xiaomi's Mi Powerbank a run for its money. While the charger will be available on OnePlus website, it remains to be seen if OnePlus opts for a flash-sales model or allows its sale on the open.

The OnePlus Powerbank Charger will be available in two color options - sandstone black and silver white - which are predominant colors with the OnePlus One smartphone. As mentioned earlier, the charger will be equipped with a 10,000 mAh battery and the unit takes over five hours to charge up fully. While chargers usually don't have a slender profile, even OnePlus Powerbank will measure 16.2-mm thick and weigh 220 grams.

Apart from being available on the OnePlus website, the new portable smartphone charger is also likely to be sold via Amazon. While the precise price tag of the gadget has yet to be confirmed, it is expected to be affordable and is likely to come for less than $15. As of now, the only alternative before the consumers in the market is the Xiaomi Mi Powerbank.
