OnePlus One Smartphone Update News: Device Finally Gets Oxygen OS [VIDEO]

Although OnePlus was unable to keep its promise and deliver the Oxygen OS for its smartphone OnePlus One, earlier on Saturday, the Chinese start-up tech company eventually succeeded in building the software. Although the new software running the OnePlus One will have some bugs and a few lapses, users are definitely happy to receive the update.

Tech Radar quotes OnePlus co-founder Carl Peid mentioning on a Reddit AMA session back in March that the user's device will not get this update via over-the-air (OTA). On the contrary, the company allows the user do the flash-work by themselves - of course with some help from OPO.

According to the report, the update occupies 705MB on the device and is available for download as a ZIP file. OnePlus One users can click here for instructions to install the latest software on their phone.

Till now, OnePlus has kept their first-ever software creation for OnePlus One under wraps, but now one can discuss the prospect of obtaining the Oxygen version software for the OnePlus One openly. According to Tech Radar, the new software is based on the Android 5.0 Lollipop.
