OnePlus 4 Phone Release Date News, Rumors: Chinese Manufacturer Going To Fill In Where Samsung Left Off?

Rumors and news reports are circulating about the alleged imminent release date of OnePlus 4 as the Chinese phone manufacturer is reportedly looking to fill in the vacuum left behind by Samsung.

Samsung has been wracked with scandal following the exploding batteries of its Galaxy Note 7. Reportedly, the South Korean company spent more than $1 billion in recalling all the units, not to mention the fact that it also halted production on the device.

This is where OnePlus 4 comes in, said iTechPost, as the company can get a headstart for the Galaxy Note 8 if it can release the flagship early enough. With people still wary of any smart phone from Samsung right now, OnePlus can take advantage by releasing a powerful phone to rival that of the South Korean company.

The news and rumors point to a 8GB of RAM. The Android 7.0 Nougat right out of the box, 4000mAh battery and 256GB storage support, which can be further expanded through the microSD slot.

The OnePlus4.org also shared rumors about the OnePlus 4 having a 5.5-inch screen with 4K resolution, Qualcomm quad-core processor Kryo clocked at 3.0GHz, GPU Adreno 620, 18 MP for the main camera and 8 MP for the front snapper and 3000mAh battery.

The OnePlus 3 was sold in the US for $399, so the OnePlus 4 is expected to fetch a price tag of no less than $450.

For now, however, all these information regarding the OnePlus 4 should be considered as rumors rather than news, without confirmation from the Chinese company. The release date is expected to be in the middle of next year.
