OnePlus 3 Specs Leak, Release Date Rumors: New Device Powered By Snapdragon 820 Processor?
New rumors surrounding the OnePlus 3 alleged that it's going to be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor as details of the specs for the device continue to leak.
According to the Indian Express, the specs of OnePlus 3 includes a 32 GB internal storage along with a 16-megapixel main camera with a resolution of 1080p on a 5.5-inch front display.
In fact, there's not much change between the OnePlus 3 and its predecessor, other than the processor and the upgraded rear camera, according to the report.
OnePlus 2 boasts of a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 with a Qad-core 1.56 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 1.82 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. The internal storage is 16GB.
Previous rumors claimed that the release date for OnePlus 3 will be on April 7 but this was debunked by a company spokesman, as shared by Android Authority.
It seems the report, first reported by Gizmo China, was a bit of miscommunication as the April 7 event "is focused on the China market."
"We will not be launching our next device then," the spokesperson added. "The only thing we can confirm is that [it] will be an awesome product."
Inferse said that the rumors surrounding OnePlus 3 have been all over the place, and it's hard which ones to believe.
"What can also be considered to be almost a certainty is that the OnePlus 3 will be running Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow right out of the box, as is likely to be standard with all Android smartphone launching in 2016, at least with the flagship range," it said.
