OnePlus 3 Release News, Specs: Sales Shut Down In Hong Kong, Europe To Catch Up With Orders

The demand for the OnePlus 3 is so high that the company had to shut down its sales in Hong Kong and Europe to catch up with orders, according to the latest news surrounding the device.

According to the company announcement written by Carl Pei, founder of OnePlus, said the halt in orders will start on Aug. 9 until Sept. 12.

In Europe, the following countries will be affected: Austria, France, Greece, Netherlands, Italy, Span, Portugal, Luxembourg, Cyprus, Hungary, Ireland, Malta, Latvia, Romania, Poland, Slovenia, Estonia, Bulgaria, Belgium, Croatia and the Czech Republic.

"We are working hard to secure more stock and fire up more production lines so that we can fulfill our goal of putting premium products into the hands of as many people as possible," he said.

Nevertheless, Carl Pei said sharing the news aims to give potential customers a heads-up so they can purchase the OnePlus 3 before the company stops the orders. Those who want to purchase after the suspension may sign up with the company's notification service so they will know immediately when sales resume.

The anticipation for the Chinese mobile is understandable considering the stellar reviews the OnePlus 3 is getting from tech news sites. For instance, Wired magazine described the phone as "almost perfect."

The iPhone Plus 3 will run on the 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor along with 6 GB of RAM. The 3,000 mAh battery on the new device also impresses, along with the fast-charging technology which allows the phone to climb up to 60% battery life in just half an hour.
