OnePlus 3 Plus Specs News & Rumors: Android Nougat 7.0 Update Coming Soon?

The OnePlus team is not the fastest when it comes to updating software, so people are not holding their breaths to wait for the Android Nougat 7.0 update to OnePlus 3. The good news, however, is that it's coming.

The news about the Android Nougat 7.0 update on OnePlus 3 was shared by company CEO Pete Lau himself on his Twitter account. There's not much on the 16-second clip, but a peek into the smart phone with the Nougat logo in it.

Trusted Reviews said that Chinese company has not issued a definite release date on the Android Nougat 7.0 update, but the website said that it might roll out early next year to coincide with the upgrade on the OxygenOS.

In terms of specs, the OnePlus 3 Plus has 5.5-inch Corning Gorilla Glass 4 Super AMOLED display with a display resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. In contrast, the OnePlus 3 only has 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. The new phone is powered by Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821. It may also have 6 GB RAM or higher. The battery may also feature nearly 4,000mAh.

KnowYourMobile reported that OnePlus 3 Plus announced an update on its update to maximize especs and improve performance. The update seems targeted to address the complaints on the inefficient RAM management, while also addressing several issues as well.

Some of the tweaks to be introduced by the update include improved camera quality, quality of the audio playback, improved diplay through the sRGB, GPS, custom icon packs, security patches for Google, and the clock and music apps.

We will report more news on rumors on the OnePlus 3 Plus specs, as well as the Android Nougat 7.0 update when they become available.
