OnePlus 2 Reveal News: OnePlus Specs, Price and Release Date
Chinese smartphone manufacture has unveiled its "2015 flagship killer" 64 GB OnePlus 2 smartphone. The company has announced that upcoming device is due for launch for invited customers in the United States, the European Union and India on Aug. 11. The handset will be available for $389, while a 16 GB variant will be launched later and cost $329.
According to IB Times, OnePlus 2 will come with a fingerprint scanner and, according to OnePlus; the upcoming handset is faster compared to the iPhone. OnePlus 2 will also feature a USB type-C reversible connector, two nano-SIM card slots, in addition to a silent switch with three positions: ringer off, ringer on and ringer meant for top priority contacts.
It may be recalled that OnePlus, which has its headquartered in Shenzhen, China, appeared in the smartphone market with the OnePlus One in April 2013. The device was shipped with preinstalled Cyanogen OS preinstalled, a variation of the CyanogenMod modification for Android systems.
The phone was an instant hot among the customers and surpassed all expectations, selling nearly one million phones in 2014. On the contrary, OnePlus has expected to sell only up to 50,000 devices. The second smartphone from OnePlus, the OnePlus 2 uses OxygenOS, a variant of Android 5.1 developed by the company, instead of Cyanogen OS.
As far as the specs of the OnePlus 2 are concerned, the device sports a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS LCD display, packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 processor, 4GB LPDDR4 RAM (3GB in the future 16GB device), a 13-megapixel main rear camera, in addition to a 3300mAh battery unit. It is worth mentioning here that these specifications differ from the specs of the smartphone leaked previously on the Oppomart website.
OnePlus 2 camera comers with optical image stabilization and laser focusing and on the video side, it supports both 4K video and slow-motion modes. The front-facing camera of the phone, a 5-megapixel camera will make selfies sharper with a "distortion free" feature.
