OnePlus 2 Event Invite News, Rumors: OnePlus to Roll Out Larger Batches of Invites in September

Here is some good news for potential buyers of OnePlus 2. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer said that it rolled out invites for its "2016 flagship killer" device at a slow pace during August with a view to monitor user feedback, but now plans to roll out invites in larger batches in September.

According to IB Times, while Tier 1 participants ought to have received an invite by now, invites for Tier 2 will take some more time. This is owing to the large number of members, counting early supporters as well as active forum members.

Besides, shareable invites will be released in September, but only after an individual has received an invite and bought the device. While the entire process will take just a few weeks to complete, the time taken to receive shareable invites depends on the availability of stocks. The report quotes a delighted OnePlus team saying, "It is amazing to see that we've grown into such a big community in a short amount of time."

Meanwhile, OnePlus earlier created four tiers in order to manage their invite roll out. Tier 1 comprises winners or participants of various OnePlus events (WWYDFT2 and pop-up events), while early supporters come in Tier 2. People who have bought the original OnePlus One come under Tier 3, while Tier 4 includes people who have reserved their invites. People get points depending on the tiers they belong to. People with higher points receive the invite faster compared to others.

Then again, ranking within tiers depends on when a person has purchased the OnePlus One, the number of units purchased as well as the date when members joined the forum. Moreover, quality forum posts with greater engagement are also ranked higher.

If one wants to track his/ her invite status, they can use the Invite Tracker - an Android app designed only for the purpose. The members need to simply add their user ID and track their position in the list. In addition, this app also checks for position updates and delivers a notification when a member's position changes.
