'One Punch Man' Season 2 Release Date, News Update, Rumors: Second Season Will Feature 'Civil War-esque' Story Arc?
Rumors have been going around that fans will not see the second season of "One Punch Man" anytime soon. However, recent reports suggest that the show will premiere just as scheduled.
According to reports, manga distributor and publisher One is now in talks with the creator of the manga series, Yusuke Murata, regarding the production of "One Punch Man" season 2. In fact, the series is already in its initial stages.
One and Murata are reportedly in the process of finalizing the initial requirements for the commencement of the season 2 production. This seems to suggest that Murata is doing his best to be true to his promise when he said back in December that he would work on "100 sketches, 100 inked pages and 100 storyboards with 10 hours of editing works per day" just to make the second season happen.
Some fans believe that Murata's busy schedule in working on the second season might also be the reason for the irregular releases of the manga chapters of "One Punch Man."
Meanwhile, the regularly-released "One Punch Man" webcomic hits another snag. In the most recent webcomic that was issued last month, the story was already about the "Civil War" of Earth's heroes. Because of this, fans speculate that One is currently giving more attention to the anime adaptations of other webcomic stories such as "Mob Psycho 100."
In other news, there are also speculations that the upcoming season of "One Punch Man" may feature a "Civil War-esque" story arc, where Blast will recruit heroes to form an organization that counters the Heroes Association.
