'One Punch Man' Season 2 Release Date News, Rumors: New Season Tackles Samaita's Incredible Strength?
Since Yusuke Murata has not yet confirmed the truth of all the speculations surrounding the premiere date and storyline of "One-Punch Man" season 2, rumors about the series continue to spread in various forums online.
As for the premiere date of the second season, some speculate that the series will launch later this year, while some speculate that it will premiere in 2017. While Murata has revealed recently that the "One-Punch Man" team is already working on season 2, there is still no confirmation as to when it is going to premiere.
Various rumors also surround the series' storyline. Some believe that the next installment of the series will be pretty much about a civil war where Saitama and the Hero Association will go up against each other. However, there are those who believe that season 2 will be more like an origins story that will further explain how and where Saitama got his incredible strength.
On May 29, the sixth and final Original Video Animation (OVA) of the series will be released, which is quite a bad news for "One-Punch Man" fans.
The first English-translated OVAs are: "A Shadow That Snuck Up Too Close," "The Pupil Who Is An Extremely Poor Talker," "The Ninja Who Is Too Complicated," "Bang, Who Is Too Overbearing," "The Sisters Who Have Too Many Things Happening" and "The Murder Case That Is Too Impossible."
According to rumors, the next installment of "One-Punch Man" season 2 will pick up where season 1 exactly left off. The title of episode 1 will be "The Strongest Hero."
