One Plus 2 Price News: CEO Pete Lau Confirms Upcoming Device Will Cost Under $450
Chinese startup smartphone manufacturer One Plus has been trying to create hype ahead of the release of its upcoming device One Plus 2 for quite sometime now by releasing information about the various specifications of the handset. However, now the company has hinted that One Plus 2 will be at an affordable device.
A report in IB Times says that One Plus CEO Pete Lau recently took to Twitter to clarify the numerous speculations about OnePlus 2 arriving with a $500 plus price tag. In order to put all such rumors to rest, Pete has confirmed that the successor of OnePlus One will cost less than $450 (€410).
His post on Twitter reads, "We've seen price estimates for the #OnePlus2 upwards of $500. 'Honestly, it's never been about the price.'"
While some tech enthusiasts may argue that the price of OnePlus 2 is $100 more compared to its predecessor - One Plus One, but they also ought to consider the inflation over the last one year, which inevitably leads to an increase in price of raw materials and making charges.
