'One Piece Film: Gold' Release Date, Trailer: Hiroaki Miyamoto's Film Set To Premiere In Abu Dhabi
In line with Hiroaki Miyamoto's film "One Piece Film: Gold," it is revealed that its world premiere is set to take place in Abu Dhabi.
Abu Dhabi is set to host the world premiere of "One Piece Film: Gold," The National has learned. As per the publication, the film will premiere at the Emirates Palace on July 15, eight days prior its cinematic release in Japan.
Ego Punch chief executive Ahmed Al Mutawa disclosed the details on how the manga-based film got to be premiered in Abu Dhabi.
In his interview at the Tokyo Game Show, as cited by Crunchy Roll, Al Mutawa said that they had visited Tokyo Games Show last year and they were involved in games development. He said that they were surprised to find a lot of companies visiting their booth, wanting to talk about partnering with them.
According to Al Mutawa, initially, when they had talked to Toei, they had had not intention of working with them and they had just really liked what they had done. From there, things had moved on.
Meanwhile, Ego Punch chief executive officer Mohamed Al Jneibi added further details to what Al Mutawa had said. In the same interview, he said that that they had a subsidiary company called Ego Space, which focused on events and exhibitions.
Al Jneibi also mentioned that Ego Space was doing the "One Piece" premiere and they were also serving as consultants to the forthcoming Yas Island anime event that the Middle East Film and Comic-Con guys were doing in October. He suggested the Middle East and invited them to come and visit the country, which the crew had loved.
The film stars Mayumi Tanaka, Ikue Otani, Kappei Yamguchi, Kazuya Nakai, Hikari Mitsushima, Kiroaki Hirata, Akemi Okamura, Fumihiko Tachiki, and Gaku Hamada, among others.
"One Piece Film: Gold" is slated to be released in Japanese theaters on July 23. Watch the official film trailer here.
