'One Piece Film: Gold' News: Luffy And The Gang Are Dealing With The 'Casino King Of Gran Tesoro'
Luffy and the rest of the Straw Hat Pirates are coming for the Gran Tesoro in "One Piece Film: Gold."
According to reports, the Gran Tesoro is a gigantic floating fortress that caters to the world's richest people. This fortress is so huge that the World Government considers it as an autonomous country. It shelters not only the richest in the world, but also the most notorious pirates and highest-ranking Marine and World Government officials. Millionaires in countries around the world consider it as their "absolute sanctuary" because of the kind of entertainment it offers.
Led by Gold Emperor Gildo Tesoro, the ship will play an important role in the upcoming film as it is where Luffy and his friends will encounter the major antagonist, the "Casino King of Gran Tesoro."
Luffy's mission is to stop Tesoro's insatiable thirst for power, which the protagonist considers as a potential threat to the world.
Directed by "Dream 9" director Hiroaki Miyamoto and written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, "One Piece Film: Gold" is a full-length film that is set to be shown in 743 cinemas across Japan. According to Elichiro Oda, volume 777 of the "One Piece" series will shed light on the events that will lead Luffy and the gang to the Gran Tesoro.
Some reports also claim that Naruto will make a special appearance in the film as he promotes a popular brand of ramen, which is a favorite dish of Luffy.
Produced by "One Piece" manga creator Elichiro Oda, "One Piece Film: Gold" will be released in Japan in July 23. It is going to be the largest release of a Japanese film, toppling the record of "Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F's" which was only released in over 600 theaters throughout Japan.
