One Direction New Album News: Four Remaining 1D Members Give First Interview Post Zayn Malik Exit

After the sad news about One Direction's Zayn Malik leaving the group, the hit boy band is back stronger than ever according to the remaining four members as they had their first ever interview after Malik's recent exit.

It is definite that the group is saddened about Malik's exit but according to Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne in their interview with the U.K. Newspaper, The Sun, One Direction is here to stay so fans can now relax as they are finally assured that there will still be a One Direction.

"It's been a tough few weeks, probably the toughest since the band was formed five years ago," Payne told the paper. "We're gutted that Zayn chose to leave, but now after a few performances as a four piece, we're feeling confident and are determined to carry on stronger than ever," he added.

Apparently, not only will they be here to stay, the group now with four members is on the moves in making their next upcoming album. "It's very exciting to be working on our fifth album," Styles then said adding, "it shows how incredible the fans have been. A huge thank you to them for everything they've done for us. All the love to them."

It's a new chapter for the four boys. The band even teased their fans previously at Tomlinson's recent Twitter post saying, "going to work harder than ever to deliver the best album we've ever made for you guys!" he wrote as One Direction is said to have said their goodbyes and is now moving on towards their new life as a four-piece band.

The group has been on their world tour and will continue performing all over the world. "We're looking forward to seeing all our fans on the tour this year," Horan then said and added, "The fans are amazing. They are so loyal. All we want to do is make them proud and return their faith in us with a brilliant tour and an amazing new album."

Tomlinson again re-assured the fans how committed they are in staying. "All four of us are 100 percent committed to staying in One Direction and we want to thank the fans for being so incredible during this time. We have so much more we still want to achieve," Tomlinson said. "Our gigs in South Africa were some of the biggest the country has ever seen, so it's exciting for us to keep breaking records for British music worldwide," he added.
