'Once Upon A Time' Season 6 Spoilers: Upcoming Season Centers On Small Town Stories?

Little is known about the next season of "Once Upon A Time," but one thing's for sure: It's going to be a way far cry from the previous one.

Just recently, executive producer Edward Kitsis promised a unique story for "Once Upon A Time" season 6. According to Kitsis, the upcoming season will retrace its steps to season 1 as it focuses on small town stories and smaller story arcs.

"This season is going to be different than the past seasons. It's not going to be 'Hyde comes to town, we fight with him for 10 episodes, and then the winter finale he dies, we move on.' We kind of changed around what we're doing this year--going back to that season 1 mentality, with small town stories and smaller arcs," he said.

Kitsis also revealed that they intend to make season 6 a 22-episode story, as opposed to breaking the entire season up into two parts. He said not focusing on Mr. Hyde alone will give other characters in the series the chance to enjoy the spotlight as well. He further revealed that most of the events in season 6 will take place in Storybrooke. Even then, the Land of the Untold Stories will still be delved into.

As the return of characters from the previous seasons is expected in the upcoming season, the return of The Evil Queen is expected to pave the way for the comeback of the other villains in the show. These villains will continue to show their spitefulness, making each episode of season 6 more worth looking forward to.
