'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 Spoilers: Will Evil Queen Regina Mills Save Emma Swan from Dark Side?

With Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), the so-called "savior" of Storybrooke having already traversed to the dark side, there has to be someone who will fill her character in 'Once Upon a Time' Season 5, even as her loved ones continue trying to get her back into light.

Many fans are wondering if this suggests that the former Evil Queen Regina Mills (Lana Parrilla) may be filling in Emma's role in the upcoming season of the fairy tale television drama series on ABC.

Christian Today reports that talking exclusively to BuddyTV recently, Parrilla revealed that things would be different for the Evil Queen in 'One Upon a Time' Season 5, saying, "I think Regina's going to become the savior this year and the hero."

If Parrilla's guess turns out to be correct, the new role of the Evil Queen's in Storybrooke will not come as a surprise since she has already proved in the last few episodes of Season 4 that she is able to move away from her earlier cruel persona. Earlier, viewers saw her helping Emma's parents Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Prince Charming (Josh Dallas) in deceiving the Queens of Darkness with a view to know their plans. Nevertheless, Parrilla said that she is still not sure as to how her character will be able help Emma in the upcoming season.

She told Buddy TV, "We don't know what's going to happen, and Regina is very experienced when it comes to sort of crossing over into the dark side and committing evil acts."

However, the former Storybrooke bad character confessed that she is very worried that Emma may not possibly get back to her actual self. Parilla also said that she is concerned regarding the well-being of Emma's son Henry, who will be the new Author in 'One Upon a Time' Season 5.

In the meantime, a recent report in TV Line claimed that the showrunners of 'One Upon a Time' are currently searching for an actor to portray the character of a medieval manservant, who is extremely loyal to his employer in spite of having a strong antipathy toward him. This anger could ultimately provoke him to do something evil. However, the report did not say anything specific as to who will be employing the said manservant. It is likely that he could be working for King Arthur.

'Once Upon a Time' Season 5 will premiere on ABC on Sept. 27.
