The Cowboys (6-6) are trying to win two consecutive games when they battle the Huskies in the Ticketcity Cactus Bowl.

"You come off of a certain feeling and you have an incident like this, and it just makes it extremely difficult," said Cowboys head coach Mike Gundy to reporters.

"The energy level we got from that game has not been diminished, but it was just a shot in the gut for all of us. It's hard on the players now."

Previously, Oklahoma State defeated their Big 12 foes, the Oklahoma Sooners, by a final score of 38-35, after QB Mason Rudolph went 19-35 for 273 yards with a touchdown on December 6.

"Those guys told me, 'Tyreek, we're going to block our tails off,' and I said, 'I got y'all," said Cowboys WR Tyreek Hill to reporters.

"We did everything we practiced, so it came out exactly how we practiced it. I was just happy that it all worked out in our favor."

Meanwhile, the Huskies (8-5) are looking to stretch their current two game winning streak when they face the Cowboys on Friday night.

The Huskies beat their Pac-12 division rivals Washington State Cougars by a final score of 31-13, after Wahington QB Cyler Miles went 25-39 for 249 yards, which was emphasized by two touchdown and an interception in the victory on November 29.

"It's been a mindset with [RB] Dwayne (Washington) the last couple of weeks. ... I could just see it," said Miles to reporters.

"Dwayne has been improving off the field and on. It's not really a surprise for me at all."
