The Oklahoma City Thunder will clash with the Golden State Warriors on December 18 at the ORACLE Arena in Oakland, California.

The Thunder (12-3) attempts to extend their impressive winning streak to eight games when they go toe-to-toe with the best team in the NBA, the Golden State Warriors on Friday night.

"It's another game in the regular season for us to get better," said Thunder superstar power forward Kevin Durant to reporters.

"They're a great team and the No. 1 team in the West right now. We have our work cut out for us. ... It should be a fun matchup."

Oklahoma City dethroned the Sacramento Kings by a final score of 104-92 on December 16 after Thunder's All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook had 32 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals in order to propel his squad to victory.

"We just stayed poised because we've been there before. It's not our first time," said Durant to reporters after he scored 26 points in the game.

"We've just been trying to get better every single day. I can't keep preaching that enough. Defensively we've been locking in."

Meanwhile, the Warriors (21-3) are looking to prevent a possible two game losing streak when they defend their home court versus the Thunder at the ORACLE Arena.

Previously, Golden State lost to the Memphis Grizzlies by a final score of 105-98 on December 16; Warriors All-Star point guard Stephen Curry after had 19 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals in the losing effort.

"We understand it was a nice run and something the franchise has never done before," said Curry to reporters after the game when his team's previous 16-game losing streak was snapped on Tuesday night.

"It's put us in a good position to take a tough loss like we did tonight and keep moving. We'll be all right. It was fun while it lasted."
