The Thunder (22-20) will attempt to stretch their winning streak to five games when they face the Hawks at the Philips Arena.

Previously, Oklahoma City defeated the Washington Wizards by a final score of 105-103 on January 21; a game where Thunder shooting guard Kevin Durant had 34 points and 7 rebounds in the aforementioned win.

"I tried not to let that overshadow it, being home in front of my friends and family," said Durant to reporters in reference to playing against his hometown team.

"You only get this opportunity once (a year). I was just happy I got to play in front of them, and seeing my brother courtside and all my family, it was cool to get a win in front of them. ... Everybody was here, so I tried to focus on them and not worry about all that other stuff."

Meanwhile, the Hawks (35-8) are looking to extend their impressive winning streak to 15 games when they defend their home court against the Thunder on Friday night.

Previously, the Hawks defeated the Indiana Pacers by a final score of 110-91 on January 21; a game where Atlanta point guard Jeff Teague had 17 points, 11 assists, and 2 steals which ignited his squad to the victory.

"It's a great honor, but I think it's the players that put you in that position," said Hawks head coach Mike Budenholzer to reporters after his squad's latest victory gave him the opportunity to lead the Eastern Conference team in the upcoming All-Star game.

"We're the fortunate ones who get the honor of coaching an All-Star Game. I'll do my best to enjoy it."
