The Ohio State Buckeyes will battle the Wisconsin Badgers on December 6 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The Buckeyes (11-1) are looking to extend their impressive winning streak to 11 games when they face their Big Ten East division rivals the Badgers in the Big Ten Championship game.

Ohio State utterly dominated their Big Ten East rivals Michigan Wolverines by a final score of 48-28 on Saturday, after Buckeyes QB J.T. Barrett converted 13 out of 21 passes for 176 yards, highlighted by a touchdown pass before he suffered a season-ending right leg injury that will require surgery.

"You lose one Heisman Trophy candidate before the season starts, and then another guy in game (12) who's also a Heisman candidate," said Buckeyes head coach Urban Meyer to reporters.

"That's a positive that your team can still function. It tells you about the talent and depth on your team."

As a result, backup QB Cardale Jones will now start in place of the Barrett against the intimidating squad from Wisconsin at the Lucas Oil Stadium.

Meanwhile, the Badgers (10-2) are looking to stretch their winning streak to eight games after their most recent commanding 34-24 victory versus their Big Ten West division foe Minnesota Golden Gophers on November 29.

Wisconsin head coach Gary Andersen is optimistic that his star RB Melvin Gordon will play against the Badgers despite the fact the potential Heisman Trophy candidate is dealing with a recent ankle injury.

"It's got me on high alert and the only thing I can do is listen to Melvin Gordon, because I know Melvin is going to tell me what his mindset is -- and he will be 100 percent ready to roll on Saturday," said Andersen to reporters.
