Nvidia Latest News: Visual Technology Firm to Release New Game Streaming Feature for PC
Players have always appreciated Nvidia's offerings, which include a wide array of services such as high-end graphics to gaming consoles. Latest reports suggest that the company will soon launch a new streaming feature for the PC.
Citing a report in Gamespot, IB Times states Nvidia will soon offer a feature that is somewhat similar to the Share Play feature available on the Playstation 4. Precisely speaking, the new feature for the PC is something that could replicate local or splitscreen gaming experience over the Internet.
According to reports, the upcoming feature will form a part of the next version of GeForce Experience program. Currently, the GeForce Experience program enables users to keep GPU drivers up-to-date in addition to letting users make noteworthy changes to in-game graphics. The next version will incorporate several new features that are comparable to those found on the Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
The GameStream Co-Op is expected to be among the most-anticipated features of the new version. This new feature will allow players to invite their friends to play over the Internet, besides enabling them to watch games over a low latency 1:1 stream. This is something different from the usual online experience, as GameStream also permits the other user to dominate the game. In other words, the other user is able to try out the game, or lend a hand during tough areas. In addition, players will also be able play with each other through games with multi-controller support such as 'Trine 3,' 'Gauntlet,' 'FIFA 15' and 'Mortal Kombat Komplete.'
However, all existing computers are compatible with the latest feature, as the devices need to be equipped with specific Nvidia GPUs. The streamer will require a computer with GTX 650 and above to run the feature. However, the player on the other side does not require having any specific GPUs. Nvidia will launch the next version in early access beta this September.
Moreover, Nvidia is also expected to soon offer a feature that is somewhat same as the Share Play feature currently found on the PlayStation 4.
