NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 & GTX 1050 Ti Price, Specs: Latest Products Set For October Release Date

NVIDIA is said to release the latest of its GPU products this month.

It was previously reported that the California-based tech company will soon introduce a midrange graphic processing chip known as the GTX 1050. Now, there are speculations that the alleged GTX 1050 will be rolled out this month.

A report published on Korean website HWBattle recently claimed that NVIDIA will release the graphic card this October. This unprecedented card will use the cut-down version of the 16nm Pascal-based GP107 GPU core and will compete directly with the AMD RX 460.

GTX 1050 is expected to cost around $119 and to have fewer power requirements. Unlike the GTX 1050 Ti which comes with a 6-PIN power connector, GTX 1050 does not need a 6 or 8-PIN power connector since it is a sub-75 watts card.

The card is also said to contain 640 CUDA cores, a base clock of 1,354 MHz, a boosted clock of 1,455 MHz and a computing power of 1.8 TFLOPS. The video RAM will be set at 2 GB BDDR5 and will come with three Display Port 1.4, as well as a 128-bit bus and a single HDMI 2.0B output.

As for its gaming performance, the card is speculated to handle AAA games, provided that their graphics settings are set to mid-range.  There are also rumors that GTX 1050 can deliver 50 FPS on medium settings at 1080p screen resolution. However, this performance is only possible if the gaming rig is loaded with a high-end processor and at least 8 GB of RAM.

NVIDIA is expected to release the GTX 1050 on October 26, a week after the unveiling of the GTX 1050 Ti on October 19.
