The Tar Heels (5-1) seek to lengthen their current winning streak to three games on Wednesday night, following their recent 75-64 victory versus the Florida Gators (on November 28) where North Carolina forward Kennedy Meeks had 18 points, 13 rebounds and 2 blocked shots in the game.

Legendary North Carolina head coach Roy Williams expressed his frustration after his squad was outplayed and outscored by the Gators 41-36 in the second half of the game.

"I was so mad. I was over there ready to pull my gray hair out," said Williams to reporters despite his team held off the Gators in order to seal the victory.

"I didn't think we were doing a blessed thing right on the defensive end of the floor."

Meanwhile, the Hawkeyes (5-2) will try to lengthen their current winning streak to four games when they invade the Tar Heels' home court in the 'Old North State'.

Iowa recently demolished the Longwood Lancers by a final score of 77-44 on Saturday afternoon, where Hawkeyes forward Aaron White scored 19 points which led his team to the victory.

"We're a good team," said White to reporters, "We've lost to two good teams, but we've picked ourselves up and bounced back like good teams do."

Iowa head coach Fran McCaffery revealed that his team must be firing on all cylinders in order to defeat the perennial NCAA Championship contenders at the Dean E. Smith Center.

"We didn't shoot well in the first half," said McCaffery to reporters.

"We had to be locked in defensively to have the lead. I think our attention to detail has been good."
