'No Man's Sky' Release Date News: Game On Track for June Launch

The wait may be finally over in a few months for "No Man's Sky" followers as reports indicate that the game developed by Hello Games will get a final release date sometime in June.

According to Christian Post, the game which was supposed to be released last October will be available on PC and PS4.

Rumors have it that it might also be launched on Xbox and Xbox One but we're still waiting for confirmation on that one.

Inner Circle Xbox Director Chris Charla said, according to Australia Network News, that they would love to have the game on Microsoft-made consoles. He added that they are currently in negotiations with Hello Games in order to do just that.

"When we talk to developers, we try to be really transparent," Charla said in the interview.

Game creator Sean Murray said that there is a possibility that the game can also be available for Playstation's VR headset/ Project Morpheus gear.

After all, earlier reports have suggested that the game's October release never happened because they wanted to add more features to the game. Hence, they might intentionally launch it together with a VR set.

"I don't know what I'm allowed to say. It's something we're thinking about. Morpheus, Oculus... There's nothing more cool and sci-fi than VR and a big procedural universe," Murray said.

He added, "I think that, for the people who want to just explore, and even for the space combat and things like that, it would be a good fit. Let's put it that way."
