'No Man's Sky' News Update: Set For August 9 Release Date For PC, PS4?

The release date for "No Man's Sky" has been announced to be on Aug. 9 for both the PC and PS4.

At this point, there's no change in the schedule after it was already delayed for a few weeks as announced by Hello Games.

According to iDigital Times, there's so much mystery and hype surrounding the game that it would be advisable for gamers to just buy the title on the first day of its release date. That should take out any of the spoilers that are bound to come out after that.

Buying it on the first day will allow them to explore the world of "No Man's Sky" and develop judgment unfiltered by any outside influence.

Hello Games exec Sean Murray previously explained why the release date for "No Man's Sky" was delayed. The initial reports revealed that the game was going to be announced during E3.

"This is a type of game that hasn't been attempted before, by a smaller team than anyone would expect, under an intense amount of expectation," he said.

"And despite all of that, development is genuinely going well," he added. "This is the hardest working, most talented team I've ever worked with, and I'm so proud of what we're doing. For all our sakes though, we get one shot to make this game and we can't mess it up."

Meanwhile, it's been reported ahead of the release date that there's going to be another leveling system that will be unveiled for "No Man's Sky." This was confirmed by audio director Paul Wier himself, adding that they have yet to reveal this leveling up mechanism.
