'No Man's Sky' News Update: Creator Talks Gameplay Differences; Video Shows Similarities To ‘Destiny’
"No Man's Sky" founder, creator, and programmer Sean Murray revealed that the title is set to be different from other game concepts. Also, the game's menu and upgrade tree resemble the one's in Bungie's "Destiny."
Murray suggested that this was a "non-story." On July 23, the title creator wrote on his official Twitter account that the game did not actually use a superformula thing or infringed a patient. According to him, it was a non-story, so everybody should chill.
As per Murray, he was also set to have a meeting with the game author Johan Gielies. On the same date, he tweeted that he wished Gielies all the best in the future, adding that they were going to meet and talk about numbers and figures once the title was released.
In other news, it is revealed that "No Man's Sky's" the menus and upgrade are similar to those of "Destiny's."
On July 22, Hello Games released "No Man's Sky's" TRADE video thru PlayStation's YouTube Channel. It shows aircrafts players can see and use in-game, as well as the game landscape.
The video also reveals that gamers have to obtain natural resources from their environment thru shooting rocks and towers and either buy and sell unique items that can be obtained around the galaxy.
As per Game Spot, the menus and the upgrade systems in the video have the same design with those that can be fund in "Destiny," which include the user interface design, navigation cursor, and resource management layout.
It is further revealed that each trade has its own story, which contributes to how the players can improve their gaming experience.
Developed by Hello Games, "No Man's Sky" is set to be released on Aug. 9.
