Nintendo Provides Details On New Amiibos, Release Date Unveiled
There will be a bit of a bad news for the Shovel Knight fans in the UK as customers have received e-mails from the Official Nintendo UK Store saying that the supply of their Amiibo figures will be delayed again.
According to Nintendo Life, the amiibos were supposed to arrive earlier this month, but it seems that because of the Holiday period, the arrival of the stocks may now get pushed into the first or second week of January in the United Kingdom.
Also according to the site, the official Nintendo store has sent out letters that read:
"Thank you for pre-ordering the Shovel Knight amiibo with the Nintendo Official UK Store.
Regrettably there has been a further delay in the delivery of this amiibo. We will be in contact shortly as soon as we have further information.
You are not required to make any adjustments to your order. Your pre-order is still valid and has not been cancelled."
Yacht Club Games said that that the initial delay was because Nintendo can't seem to get the figures past UK customs. As of today, they are still trying to get an official clearance from the department. The site also added that the amiibo's release date will now be on the eighth of January.
It's just sad to know that the people who pre-ordered the amiibo will have to wait until after Christmas, even worse, New Year's Day for them to finally get their Shovel Knight. I guess they just have to dig deeper for them not to run out of patience with this one.
