New details on the release of Nintendo's upcoming game console Nintendo NX have surfaced. According to reports, it is set to be released next year.

While the Nintendo NX serves as one of the company's highlights at the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 2016, it is revealed that the forthcoming console is not to hit this year, Christian Times has learned. As per the publication, the Nintendo NX is set to be released in Mar. 2017 and the tech company is set to unveil more information on the device's release at the said event.

It is further rumored that the Nintendo NX will redeem the lack of appeal of the Wii U. As per reports, Nintendo was successful after its release of the Nintendo Wii; however, fans were reportedly unimpressed when the Wii U took the spotlight following its release. With the Nintendo NX, it is assumed that fans and gamers would be interested to play various Nintendo games using the upcoming console.

According to Ecumenical News, the titles that can be played on the Nintendo NX include "Just Dance 2017," which has 40 soundtracks; "The Legend of Zelda," which has just unveiled its "Breath of the Wild" gameplay trailer; and the much-anticipated seventh generation "Pokemon" game, "Pokemon Sun" and Pokemon Moon."

In Dec. 2015, Nintendo Chief Tatsumi Kimishima revealed how the Nintendo NX was set to be a unique console, among others. In his interview with Time, he said that NX would be a different and obviously new experience, adding that they were not building the next version of the Wii or Wii U.

Overall, the Nintendo NX is assumed to be released in Mar. 2017.
