Nintendo NX Release Date, News, Specs: Expected To Arrive In Early 2017?
There are so many speculations and theories even by some mainstream news sites regarding the mysterious Nintendo NX. But one thing is clear, nobody is expecting the Japanese gaming company to join Microsoft and Sony's console wars.
Chris Kohler of Wired said that the Nintendo NX will make the Wii U (which has been a disappointment so far in terms of sales) and the Nintendo 3DS.
He said that this would make perfect sense on the operations standpoint as focusing on one console will allow the company to refocus its resources into making it the best one available outside of the mainstream consoles out there like Playstation and Xbox.
In related news, it doesn't seem to be a problem if indeed the specs for Nintendo NX could hardly scratch the surface of what the Playstation and Xbox offer. In fact, according to Michael Pachter, Wedbush Securities analyst, in an interview with Gamer Tag Radio as shared by Nintendo Life, the "Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild" alone would sustain the sales of the console.
"I think probably only Wii U owners will buy Zelda, but I think everybody who buys an NX will absolutely buy it, and I think it will sell them 10 million consoles pretty quickly," he said. "Zelda looked great. I mean, it really looks like a good game."
The initial news reports claimed that the Nintendo NX will be released sometime in the spring of 2017. If that's true, there should be plenty of details that will come out in the weeks to come.
