Nintendo NX News, Rumors: Mobile Device To Be Linked To Your TV?

While the news about the Nintendo NX has been scarce, there are plenty of rumors circulating around to go from.

The latest news allegedly comes from a leaked patent which provided some details about the new console.

According to iDigitalTimes, the patent shows that the Nintendo NX can be linked to your own TV so it can become a home console and you can play on a much bigger screen. There's also apparently a camera behind the display, apart from the main display itself.

Meanwhile, another patent claimed that the Nintendo NX will feature some sort of augmented reality technology. Or as the description long-windedly described it, the "game devices obtain a captured image in response to a shutter operation by the user to analyze a characteristic portion of the captured image obtained and to display, on the display, an image obtained by superimposing a virtual character over the captured image based on the analysis results."

The third info about the Nintendo NX, as revealed by NeoGaf forum, is about another accessory that can be attached to the device via dock. It's not clear what the buttons will do but the patent described it as an "information processing device."

Head on to the forum for a more extensive explanation about what the accessory is and how it works.

Previously, rumors have placed the release date of the Nintendo NX in March 2017. According to speculation, this would be the replacement for the Wii U as news of sales on the console has been grim, to say the least.
