Fans of The Vampire Diaries will be glad to know that there is no contention between Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder. Dobrev will be ending her time on the show after this season, and according to E! News, she is happy that Somerhalder, her co-star and ex boyfriend, found love with Nikki Reed.

He and Reed got married on the 26^th of April, at a ceremony in Malibu, California. Dobrev stated that she thought the wedding was beautiful, based on what she heard about it.

She said that the couple looks happy, and that she is happy for them.

"The drama is in the media, it's not with us," said Dobrev. "But, of course, we're on a teen drama show, everyone's going to look for drama. If there's no drama, there's nothing to write about. I just ignore it."

Dobrev, who is 26 years of age, and Somerhalder, who is 36 years old, dated for about three years. The pair broke up in 2013.

Dobrev went on to say that she and Somerhalder still had a very strong friendship, and that she cares about him.

She said that their professional relationship is fine, and that they were friends before they dated, so there is no reason why their friendship should not remain intact.

This is great news coming from Dobrev, after speculation that tension between herself and Somerhalder, who plays her long time love interest on The Vampire Diaries, is what caused her to make her exit on the show.

Season seven of The Vampire Diaries is coming to The CW this fall.
