After quite a long time being silent, 'Vampire Diaries' star Nina Dobrev finally broke it and spoke up about all the issues being thrown at her including all the issues about her ex-boyfriend Ian Somerhalder and when she is set to leave the hit Vampire series that united them.

When the two got together in the CW series, there was an instant chemistry. Dobrev and Somerhalder even won "Best Chemistry" in 2014 at the People's Choice Awards. Well, apparently the two are just good friends now and Somerhalder is now officially married to 'Twilight' star Nikki Reed.

Since then, Dobrev's announcement that she will be leaving the show, and Somerhalder's wedding, the actress' name has always been in the headlines as she is claimed to have left the show because of her break up with Somerhalder in 2013.

But now, Dobrev finally answers all the rumors in her recent interview with E! Dobrev's answers were straight to the point yet respectful, as always, to everyone involved in all the rumors. "I've said this before, that we didn't break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship," Dobrev said.

She continued assuring fans that she and Somerhalder are still friends. "I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change. Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now."

And her reaction on Somerhalder's wedding with Reed is just beautiful. "When I heard about the wedding, I thought it was beautiful. They look happy and I am happy and so I don't see why there should be a problem with that," she said.

Apparently, it is the media that adds conflict which doesn't exist, Dobrev reveals. "The drama is in the media, it's not with us. But of course, we're on a teen drama show, everyone's going to look for drama. If there's no drama, there's nothing to write about. I just ignore it."

Dobrev's last appearance in 'Vampire Diaries' will air this Thursday, at 8:00pm on CW.
