Last week Nikki Reed finalized her divorce from her ex-husband, Paul McDonald. The 26-year-old actress is allegedly happy with the outcome, as she has been granted two houses, one Los Angeles apartment, and three cars in the split.

Nikki Reed is known for her role as the stunning Rosalie, a vampire, in the supernatural romance 'Twilight'. The actress did not meet ex-husband McDonald until 2011 when the two were introduced to each other at the 'Red Riding Hood' premiere. At the time, Paul McDonald was an 'American Idol' contestant, and shortly afterward, the couple began dating.

Three years after the couple was married, Nikki and Paul announced the fate of their marriage in a public statement. The statement read, "After much consideration, Nikki Reed and Paul McDonald are ending their marriage." The couple admitted that they had been having trouble for almost six months prior to the divorce, "due to work obligations."

The couple began falling apart because of the differences in their careers. Nikki was focusing on her acting, and Paul was trying to make music. Nevertheless, Reed and McDonald announced that they will continue to remain friends after the amicable separation.

The two were officially granted the divorce on December 26, 2014. While Reed will get the bulk of the couple's possessions, McDonald will get to keep a home in Nashville. The couple has split up several other belongings that the two shared, such as furniture. Unfortunately for McDonald, the 'Twilight' actress will get to keep the dog, Enzo.

Since the divorce, Reed has moved on to a new romance with actor Ian Somerhalder. On that note, Ian and Reed recently spent their Christmas together in Idaho with their friends and family.
