Nikki Reed and Ian Somerhalder recently got married at a private wedding ceremony at Tuscali Mountain Inn in Topanga, California.

Of course, after the wedding comes the honeymoon, and couple posted some very cute pictures of their honeymoon on Instagram.

In one posting, made by Reed, Somerhalder embraces his new wife and she captions the photo, "Salty...sandy...sticky...sunburned. The best. I love this human. My human."

The pair seems very well matched, as both are champions in defense of the environment and animals across the globe, in tandem with their stellar acting careers. Reed later posted another photo of a view of a beach in Brazil, where the couple went for their trip.

This one was captioned, "bom dia Brasil! Eu te amo".

A source states that Reed wanted a small wedding originally. However, Somerhalder wanted a big wedding, and she had no problem with him making his wish come true.

Now that the vows have been made and it is official, the newlyweds have gone to Brazil and will be making their next stop in Chile. Reed appears to love Brazil, a sentiment which she expresses in a long and strongly worded Instagram caption, which describes the country and its people as "stunning" and the actress thanks them for having the couple.

She says, "I'm so amazed, so humbled, so flattered by your outpour of passion and love, especially last night...I was so overwhelmed by all of the happiness and excitement you were experiencing in that exact moment, and I'm so grateful I got to experience it alongside you."
