'Twilight' actress Nikki Reed and former 'American Idol' contestant Paul McDonald have officially finalized their divorce. News broke out, not on the devastating split between the two, but on what each of them got out of their three-year marriage.

Reports claim that it was a sweet split as both parties walked away with exactly what they wanted. It has been reported that Reed got to keep their Nashville home, three vehicles: a Range Rover, Toyota Tundra, and Toyota Rav4 and even their German Shepherd, Enzo.

The two separated last March 2014, and Reed filed for divorce two months later. But it was only recently that the two officially finalized their divorce. Reed has been living with her new boyfriend and 'Vampire Diaries' star Ian Somerhalder while McDonald is keeping busy working on his new album.

The two reportedly met at a movie premiere while McDonald was still competing for Season 10 of 'American Idol'. Reed and McDonald haven't officially released their statements regarding their divorce but reportedly, the two are still very much on good terms.

According to McDonald's recent interview, the two are even working side by side collaborating musically. "Both Nikki and I are so proud of this album," McDonald told Yahoo Music, "I feel like through the process of writing and recording the album, we both grew significantly as songwriters and collaborators. It's been amazing watching Nikki grow as singer and discover a new confidence as an artist. Right now our passion for this project couldn't be stronger. We're planning on booking a tour soon," he added.

The former married couple have been known to hold music as their unique bonding. The two previously released an EP of duets, entitled The Best Part, which even peaked at No. 28 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart and No. 25 on the Top Folk Albums tally.
