Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban News: Keith Urban Band Criticized Over Recent Boston Concert Events

Beyond reports that Australia-born singer Keith Urban is allegedly pursuing a divorce from Nicole Kidman after several failed marriage counseling sessions, the singer and his band are surrounded by criticism for the violent events that took place at one of their recent Boston concerts.

According to local police, at least 46 concertgoers were injured and 22 were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment after the show. Most of them are victims of physical assault due to excessive drinking taking place at the venue.

"Officers conducting the investigation were assisted by patrons that had been concerned and took photos and video of the assault on their cellular phones. Those phones are being processed to recover the digital evidence of the assault," CNN reported.

Consequently, an escalated case, involving an alleged rape, shocked Urban and the rest of the community. The videotaped incident involved a 17-year-old girl and a certain, Sean Murphy, 18. Murphy pleaded in Attleboro District Court that the case was consensual and no sexual assault happened.

"This was a private act that regrettably occurred in a public place. Mr. Murphy deeply regrets this incident and I'm sure the young woman does as well," his defense counsel Neil P Crowley told Boston Globe.

Meanwhile, Urban, on behalf of his band, expressed sympathy to all the victims of the unfortunate event. A statement on his website reads, "My team and I were horrified to learn of the events reported in Boston this past weekend and our hearts and prayers go out to all those affected. This type of behavior stands in stark contrast to the spirit of our shows."
