Nicki Minaj New Song Latest News: 'Anaconda' Singer Facing Music Video Controversy, New Collaboration with Fergie?

According to rumors, Fergie has revealed in an interview on Hot 97 that she will be doing a collaboration with Nicki Minaj for her new album. While there is no word on the name of the new album or any of its songs, what's known is that it will release early next year, 2015.

On a side note, Nicki Minaj is under fire following the controversy that her recently released music video, "Only," was directly inspired by Nazi propaganda. According to Business Insider, the rapper was blasted by both her fans and the Anti-Defamation League due to the video's insensitive similarities to Nazi imagery, including red swastika-like flags and armbands on soldiers.

Nicki posted an apology on Twitter stating that "I didn't come up w/the concept, but I'm very sorry & take full responsibility if it has offended anyone."

However, Jeff Osborne, the music video's director, refused to apologize. He said that "I'm not apologizing for my work, nor will I dodge the immediate question." He wrote on MySpace late Tuesday.

He continued by explaining, "The flags, armbands, and gas mask are all representative of Nazism. If my work is misrepresented because it's not a sappy tearjerker, sorry I'm not sorry."

Nicki has confirmed that she has parted ways with Safaree Samuels and why they broke up through her new song "Bed of Lies." According to speculation on Eurweb, "it had a lot to with his insecurities and jealousy".

Parts of the song, "Bed of Lies" implicitly links up with her breakup, "You could never make eye contact. Everything you got was based off of my contacts... You a fraud, but I'mma remain icon-stat. You was caught up in the rush, and you was caught up in the thrill of it. You was with me way before I hit a quarter mil' in it."

It's speculated that when she performed at the MTV European Music Awards, a set of songs were most likely linked about her past and present with Samuels. These songs are, "Super Bass", "Bed of Lies" and "Anaconda."
