Nicki Minaj Abortion News: 'Anaconda' Singer Speaks About Abortion When She Was Just 15

In a recent interview with the Rolling Stone, Nicki Minaj opened up about a decision she made long ago that has haunted her all of her life. When she was in LaGuardia High School of Music & Performing Arts, the rapper got pregnant with a man she described as her "first love, and made a choice to have an abortion.

According to Minaj, her first reaction to finding out she was pregnant was, "I thought I was going to die."

This is not the first time the pop idol has gone public about her abortion, although it is the first time that she has received attention for it. When Nicki Minaj made the mixtape "Autobiography," she rapped about her experience. In the third verse, Minaj asks her unborn child's forgiveness, and explains that she wasn't ready to have a child.

Nicki also rapped about her "child with Aaron" and the loss of the child in her album, The Pinkprint. In the album, she sings about her young brother Micaiah, or "Cai" for short, and how her unborn son is like an angel, taking care of him. Nicki raps, "My child with Aaron, would've been 16 any minute... It's like he's Cai's little angel looking over him."

The decision to have an abortion continues to haunt the famous rapper to this day. Nevertheless, Nicki says that she made the right decision for her at the time. "I was a teenager. It was the hardest thing I'd ever gone through," Nicki Minaj said, "It'd be contradictory if I said I wasn't pro-choice. I wasn't ready. I didn't have anything to offer a child."
