Nick Jonas and Kendall Jenner are approaching their new relationship with level heads and taking it slow.

E! News was told by a source that the Jealous singer and the supermodel are treating their budding romance as a strong friendship and just enjoying each other's company, going on a "few dates".

"Nick and Kendall are hanging out, but it's nothing that serious, as Jonas just got out of a relationship and isn't looking for anything major at the moment," according to the source.

The pair is choosing to focus on their own careers, which involves busy schedules.

 "He is really focusing on his career at this time. He enjoys hanging with Kendall when they are both in the same ity, and it's nice because they have a similar group of friends (and family) in common." Jonas just came out of a high profile two-year relationship with Olivia Culpo. Jonas and Culpo ended the relationship almost 3 months ago.

It was an amicable separation and Jonas, who rose to fame as a Disney star, shared with E! News that he only wished happiness for Culpo. " I wish the best for her in the future and we had a great two years," Jonas was quoted as saying.

As Jonas is fresh out of a relationship, he shared in an interview with E! Newsin late June, he will focus on his music career over a relationship.

"I don't know, it's too early," he shared. "I'm focused on my work and that, to me is the priority right now."

Kendall is following suit, launching a new line of footwear with sister Kylie. She has also put her face to many fashion campaigns. Otherwise, Kendall is spending time with her family; she was with her sister in Mexico to celebrate Kylie's birthday.

With the pair viewing the relationship with similar mind-sets, Jenner and Jonas seem to be on even footing. If they follow in the footsteps of Jonas' brother Joe and his girlfriend Gigi Hadid, they should be able to develop a strong relationship.
