Nick Jonas New Album Update: Unexpected Release of Nick Jonas' New Single 'Area Code' Takes Fans by Surprise

Running up to the release of his new album, Nick Jonas has surprised fans by releasing another new single through his personal SoundCloud account on September 5th.

The link was captioned "Mood" and the name of the song is Area Code.

Clocking in at just under 3 minutes, Area Code will most probably feature on the upcoming re-release of the former Jonas Brother's debut solo album with Levels being the theoretical first single.

Featuring heavy urban influences, Area Code's style is so similar to that of FettyWap's that it's been called Nick's Trap Queen. It's definitely a departure from his usual fare.

The early release of Nick's held another surprise for listeners... the song is as yet unfinished, as confirmed by him on the description featured on SoundCloud:

"I need someone to put a verse on this...",

Some people believe that releasing an unfinished song that is still in the writing stage is a ploy on Nick's part to try to convince FettyWap to collaborate with him. This conjecture has not been confirmed by either Nick or his representative.

Another point for consideration is whether Nick's track is referencing ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez's Good For You, which some fans believe is the case. The line that has got everybody excited is:

"You say I never been good for you, you can't deny I gave it good to you."

Nick just released Levels right before the MTV VMAs and he performed it on the pre-show. In conjunction with this, he released the music video.
